A bit confused here. Clustering is an unsupervised learning algorithm, yet you are using class labels to determine the optimal number of clusters. Shouldn’t the optimal number be intrinsic to the clustering itself regardless of labels? What if you didn’t have the luxury of having any labels? And since you have labels, what really is the use of clustering anyway?
